Ministry at Ablaze: High school Journey at St. Joseph’s in Bryan
Ministry Background: I have volunteered on several volunteer core teams around the Bryan area since I was in high school. After attending three years at college and university, I made the decision to serve with NET (National Evangelization Team) for two years. My first year was on a traveling team, where as a group we drove across Canada to lead retreats for youth in Catholic parishes. My second year serving with NET was in the United States, where I served on a parish team in Chanhassen, MN.
Passions and interests: I love playing guitar and singing. I also really like watching movies and TV; making my own reviews for them!
How did you become involved with Ablaze/why are you involved? I have been one of Ablaze’s volunteers since it began, serving as a volunteer on ministry core teams, helping with retreats and big events. I even gave a talk at one of the annual outreach events! I am involved now because I got to see firsthand the beautiful work the Lord is doing in and throughout Ablaze Ministries. When I felt the that the Lord was calling me to Ablaze I couldn’t be more excited to see what He could do in and through me as well.
Favorite quotes and Bible Verses:
With great power comes great responsibility.
By your Spirit I will rise from the ashes of defeat, the Resurrected King is Resurrecting me. In your name I come alive, to declare your victory; the Resurrected King is Resurrecting me!
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but that very spirit intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.
