Ministry at Ablaze: Junior High School Ignite at St. Mary’s in Brenham

Ministry Background: It all began in 6th grade, when my parents forced me to get involved in youth choir and youth group. Through these ministries, I discovered my love for the Lord. I formed friendships and learned more about Jesus. There I discovered the passion in my heart to know the Lord more.

I worked at a Christian camp during the summer as a counselor and served on their leadership team. I learned about how to work with a team and grew in relationship with the Lord. In high school, I felt a calling in my heart to start a Christian Club in my school. It was an amazing experience to connect with others students in my school over Jesus. By starting this club I noticed that many students were not afraid to show their faith in school. In college, I got involved in youth ministry and youth choir. After college, I had the opportunity to affect the lives of children by becoming a second grade teacher. Being a teacher was very rewarding and helped me develop important skills.

Passions and Interests: I will drink tea with milk at any time. In my free time, I like to go swimming, go on hikes, play guitar, sing, dance, and laugh. I love sun flowers and sunshines! I like to meet new people and have adventures. I especially enjoy praise and worship with my friends!

How did you become involved with Ablaze/Why are you involved? I heard about Ablaze Ministries from Sam Shepard, who is a youth minister with Ablaze.
