Ministry Background:I worked at the Pines Catholic Camp in the summers of 2015, 2016, and 2017. I was a camp counselor for the first two summers, and then I was the “head female” for the summer of 2017. While head female, I led weekly meetings with the 70 women on staff and discipled the 30 female counselors weekly. The Pines gave me the opportunity to allow the Lord to spark my passion for ministry. When I came back to College Station, I felt a tug on my heart to step up within St. Mary’s Catholic Center. So, in the fall of 2016 I was able to be a part of the leadership team for Aggie Awakening 108 as a CMT (Christian Ministry Team). A few semesters later, in the spring of 2018, I was chosen to be the Coordinator for Aggie Awakening 111. This retreat ministers to 150 college students and creates an opportunity to encounter Christ as well as taking a step back from the chaos of life.
Passions and interests: I enjoy photography, hiking, sleeping, and listening to live music.
How did you become involved with Ablaze/why are you involved? I joined the Ablaze team because I was looking for a part-time job that not only would be something that I am passionate about, such as ministry and my faith, but something that would also be a great community to work within. It is always a blessing when you can throw what you are passionate about into your work.
